Laikin Govender

Project Coordinator
Laikin brings invaluable experience to the team. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Drama and Performance Studies (Cum laude) at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in Pietermaritzburg in 2011.
She entered the performing arts and grew into acting alongside some South African greats, and is currently represented by Foxstar Talent Agency having built an impressive performance CV.
Having been in the industry full time since 2012, Laikin has gained invaluable experience and insight into production life in front of the camera and as well as behind the scenes. These 8 years of successes and some failures has resulted in her being a well-rounded and capable asset to any production she works on.

Antony is an enegetic, creative, hardworking multiskilled cameraman who performs
with excellence either as an individual or on a team.
Through many years of hard work, he as an impressive CV and is well known within the
industry. Besides being a brilliant cameraman, his portfolio includes numerous technical qualifications, marketing, organisation and business management skills.
Antony has also partnered with Visual Feat and is the CEO of the Events Division, responsible for all film and photographic output.

and is an award-winning cinematographer.
With over 8 years of experience, they have completed a vast selection of films, music

Some highlight achievements of Arise Films include the SAFTA Award Winning film “New Era Sessions” which featured the internationally recognised actor, Atandwa Kani, as the lead; Performance Art Project “Night Mares and Nike Airs” with renowned actor Raphael Friffith released on Showmax January 2020; “The Ride” short films which led to being the overall
winner of the International 1 minute film Festival - Best Creative Cinematography Award;
